This photo was taken with my old, and now gone, Sony Cybershot DSC-P200 during one of our visits to Leeds Castle in Kent. I didn’t know peacocks could also be white and this one impressed us with a wonderful display of it’s plumage (more likely warning us not to come closer but still amazing). I went back to Leeds Castle a few weeks later after taking this shot but by then all of the peacocks had shed their beautiful tail feathers. White peacocks are often mistaken as being albino but they are not, they just happen to be white. Peacocks shed their tail feathers once a year and every year they grow longer, fuller and with bigger eyes.
